Tony Ray
Artist of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature is Tony Ray.
A Bolton born musician, Tony was responsible for forming Bolton's first punk band 'The Rawboys'.
In 1981 he went on to form the band 'Capsule Electric' with the late Gary Scowcroft.
By the 1990's he had established himself as a popular face on the local music scene and was busy with solo gigs and studio work, and by the time the 2000's were underway, he was releasing his own solo albums, starting with 'Once Upon A Time' in 2001, up to last year's 'Memorays' album, which was his eighth album so far.
