Red Light Factory

From Monday April 28th onwards, band of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature are Red Light Factory. Consisting primarily of respected local musicians Ben Warwick and Harry Lavin, 'Red Light Factory' was conceived by Warwick and Lavin last year. Back in February 2020, the two local musical heroes had just returned from a hugely successful European Tour with their then band 'Twisted Wheel''. The tour dates had included supporting Liam Gallagher at large sold-out arenas around the continent. By the following month, March 2020, the world had gone into the Covid-19 lockdown. Four years went past, the pandemic had ended, and by March 2024 Twisted Wheel still hadn’t returned to pick up the momentum they had spent the previous three years before Covid building up. and being at the ages of 25 and 26, Warwick and Lavin decided to stop waiting around and rekindle their songwriting partnership under the red studio lights. Influenced this time around by the likes of Echo & The Bunnymen, Queens Of The Stone Age and Kraftwerk, Red Light Factory headed to Vibe Studios in Manchester to record their new music with highly respected producer Dean Glover. Debut single 'Manson Song' was released in March this year and quickly received rave reviews from around the world. Their follow up single 'Riot Act' will be released on Friday May 2nd, and the band have now also announced their first gig as a four-piece band will take place on October 24th at Manchester's Soup Kitchen.
