Overdrive
From Monday June 23rd onwards, band of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature are Overdrive. The five piece alternative / post punk band were formed in Stockport in 2024 by lead singer Kade Flanagan and bass player Corey Pollitt, before being joined by drummer Dylan Booth, lead guitarist Joe Dews, and rhythm guitarist Paddy Christy. Overdrive have quickly grown their fanbase since forming and had much success on the new music scene. The band have already received plenty of radio play, with songs released so far including 'Hourglass' and 'Petty Talk'. After recently headlining Liverpool's legendary Jacaranda club, they will be headlining Manchester Club Academy on July 25th and will be supported by 'Pacifier' and 'Denver', tickets are on sale from the Manchester Academy website. Plans are in place for a full band rebrand which will change the bands image and see them renamed to 'Inertia'. You can find out more about the future of the band on the 'Overdrive' social media pages. With the rebrand on the horizon, this is the start of a new chapter for the band with exciting times ahead.
