A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was found with serious injuries at a property in Ashton.
Greater Manchester Police say officers in Ashton acted swiftly to make an arrest after the discovery on Ashdene, off Currier Lane.
They added that a 39-year-old man was located and arrested, with the investigation ongoing.
A witness said a number of police vehicles first appeared at 5pm on Monday (13 March) and a crime scene investigation van was on the scene on Tuesday.
