A woman was found dead on railway tracks near Ashton-under-Lyne train station.
The discovery was made on Sunday (9 April) shortly before 4pm, leading to train services being suspended for several hours.
British Transport Police has confirmed that the woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her family has been informed.
They also said that the incident is currently being investigated.
