Emergency services were called to Ashton after a woman was found dead at a house on Oldham Road.
Greater Manchester Police received reports of a sudden death at around 10am on Sunday morning (28 August).
Paramedics and the fire service also attended the scene. Residents on social media reported seeing a large emergency service response close to Canon Burrows Primary School.
A spokesperson for GMP said it is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, with formal identification still taking place.
