The Waterloo and Taunton Conservative Club in Ashton-under-Lyne once again spread festive joy, opening its doors to club members and local residents aged 65 and over for its annual Pensioners Christmas Party.
Hosted by Club President William Garside, the gathering welcomed more than 60 gentlemen, each treated to a hearty Christmas meal featuring beautifully prepared fresh salmon, drinks, and friendly companionship, all free of charge.
Club Chairman Leom Tamcken reflected on the significance of the occasion, saying: “Our annual event re-introduced in 2015 has hit its 10th milestone. Even during COVID-19 when the club was unable to open, we still made sure our pensioners didn’t miss out by delivering food parcels to their homes. Always a highlight for our club to be able to give back.”
The club extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who volunteered their time to make the event possible, and a special mention to Tesco employee Joseph McQueen for donating mince pies, adding a sweet festive touch to the celebrations.
