Residents are being encouraged to roll up their sleeves to keep Stalybridge looking its best at the next Town Team clean-up this Saturday.
On October 24, volunteers are invited to meet at 9.30am in Armentieres Square, at the Town Team Hub on the corner of Tesco's car park.
From there, and after a short briefing, volunteers will be heading out in small groups to collect litter around the town centre and along the canal.
The event is open to everyone, whether they are regular volunteers or taking part for the first time.
All the necessary equipment, including litter pickers, bags, and high-visibility vests, will be provided, so participants simply need to turn up ready to help.
Organisers are encouraging as many people as possible to get involved, stressing that even an hour of volunteering can make a real difference to the appearance of the town and its surroundings.
