Crews rushed to the M67 motorway in Denton to put out a vehicle fire.
Three fire engines from Gorton, Ashton and Hyde stations were called out to the M67 eastbound, at around 4.20pm on Thursday afternoon (18 February).
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters in breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and were at the scene for around 20 minutes.
It happened between Crownpoint and the Denton Rock roundabout.
One lane was blocked for a period whilst crews responded.
