
Police are investigating after a man and a woman were both stabbed in 'a fight' on a street in Dukinfield.
A local resident told the Reporter there was a large emergency service presence, with a number of police vehicles, ambulances and an air ambulance seen in the area.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said the force was called to Astley Street just after 4pm to reports of a fight involving knives.
They said two people - a man and a woman - had been stabbed and were taken to hospital but their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
No arrests have been made, they added.
A cordon was in place for several hours on nearby Brunswick Street.
