Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in Ashton.
Police received reports of a burglary in progress in the Hurst Cross area of the town on Sunday evening at around 8.45pm.
Officers made to the address 'on a silent approach' and arrested two men in their 50s.
The pair are awaiting questioning in custody at Ashton Police Station.
Greater Manchester Police's Tameside North and East team said: "Really good team work from officers and the community who assisted in reporting the offence taking place."
