Two children have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Ashton.
It happened on Oldham Road, close to the Dog and Partridge pub, at around 3.30pm on Friday afternoon (1 October).
Greater Manchester Police say a white Land Rover collided with the two children, both aged under five and understood to be related. The driver stayed at the scene and is helping police with enquiries.
It's understood the children were airlifted to hospital, with witnesses reporting an air ambulance landing in the area. Their injuries have been described by police as "serious".
The road was closed between Taunton Road and Newmarket Road for over an hour.
Ashton Waterloo councillor Vimal Choksi said: "My heart goes out to the affected families and praying for their speedy recovery."
