A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of serious assault after a man in his 30s was stabbed near Crownpoint Shopping Park in Denton.
It happened on Tuesday afternoon (July 7) on Wilton Street, which has a walkway leading to the shopping centre.
Police were called out at 12.55pm to reports that the man had been assaulted by a male with a weapon, which hasn't been disclosed.
He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of serious assault and taken in to police custody for questioning.
Police say an investigation is underway.
