Police have arrested a man in connection with the sexual assault of a teenager in Stalybridge.
The assault happened at around 9:40am on Friday 16 November, but only came to light after it was reported to police in February.
It happened on a Stagecoach Bus travelling between Ashton and Glossop and took place as the bus was passing Stalybridge Celtic Football Club.
Earlier today, police launched a public appeal to help catch the suspect, and a man has now been arrested.
In relation to a press release published today regarding identification sought of a male in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a bus, I have just arrested a male adult on suspicion of this offence
