Tameside's first ever Digital Pride has raised hundreds of pounds for three good causes.
The coronavirus forced July's planned event at Cheetham Park in Stalybridge, where last year's successful inaugural event took place, to be cancelled.
So instead a digital event was staged on Friday night (May 1) on the Tameside Pride website and Facebook page.
It was a fabulous night of charitable fun to keep people entertained during the lockdown.
And organisers have announced that a fantastic £480 has been raised so far, through Tameside Digital Pride's recent fundraising and donations received on the night.
Proceeds will be split three ways - to Tameside Pride, local LGBT charity Aries UK and for our local NHS heroes at Tameside Hospital. Each will receive £160 so far.
There's still time to donate - you can text TAMESIDE 5 to 70085 to donate £5, or change the number 5 to a lower or higher digit to give more or less, or visit https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/tamesidepride2020.
