Tameside Dementia & Delirium Public Workshop

Residents in Tameside are being invited to share their experiences and shape future support for people affected by dementia and delirium at a public workshop in Hyde next week.

The Tameside Dementia and Delirium Public Workshop will take place this Thursday, 22nd January from 12:30pm to 3:30pm at Hyde Town Hall, 1st Floor, SK14 1AL. The session is being delivered in partnership by NHS Greater Manchester and local adult care partners as part of ongoing work to improve dementia and delirium services across the borough.

Organisers are encouraging anyone who lives in Tameside or cares for someone in the area to attend, particularly those living with dementia, carers, and people who have experienced delirium themselves or within their family. Professionals, volunteers and community groups with an interest in dementia or older people’s support are also welcome to join the discussion.

The workshop will focus on what is working well in Tameside and what needs to change, giving participants a chance to say what support and services they feel are most needed. Feedback gathered on the day will contribute to the Tameside Dementia and Delirium Strategy and help local health and care teams plan future services.

Attendees will be able to find out more about local services, visit an information market and connect with organisations offering help for people with dementia and their carers. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, and the event will include interactive workshop sessions rather than formal presentations to encourage open conversation.

Places are free but organisers are asking people to book in advance using the online registration link. Anyone needing reasonable adjustments, dietary requirements or further information can contact the team via the email address and phone number listed on the event flyer.
