Two brothers from Tameside plan to complete no less than one million steps for Autism Aware UK.
Conor Hand and his younger brother Rory are no strangers to making the headlines as they raise funds for good causes.
It all began in lockdown when they began walking together to raise funds for Tameside Hospital’s Covid appeal, stepping out each day from their Guide Bridge home. They raised £500 as a result.
For their next challenge they plan to complete a remarkable one million steps for Autism Aware UK before Rory’s 16th birthday in October - and have set themselves the target of raising £1,600.
Raising awareness about autism is a cause close to their hearts.
Both brothers have disabilities (autism, hypermobility, SPD, and anxiety).
They have already embarked on their challenge - April having been autism awareness month.
Autism Aware UK (AAUK) works hard to raise awareness of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and provides online support to families affected by autism by sharing information and offering advice or just being there to listen.
