Tameside Beer Festival to return for 10th anniversary

Everything is looking 'pitcher' perfect for the return of the Tameside Beer Festival, which is now in its 10th year.

The eagerly anticipated event is taking place on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th September at Stalybridge Civic Hall, on Trinity Street, from midday to 11pm each day.

Admission is by programme, purchased on the door at a cost of £3.

Offering over 40 beers, including local craft beers, alongside a selection of ciders and wines, the festival will also offer visitors live music and entertainment with a line-up including Mossley Ukulele Group, Pattison Fog, Tameside Community Voices and Steely Don.

The event is organised by Tameside Rotary, whose President, Mohammed Shamsul Karim, says: "After a two-year absence (due to Covid) we are thrilled to be back offering this popular community event which helps us to raise money for local and national charities.

"There will be plenty to toast at this year’s festival, which would not be possible without the avid support of local businesses, individuals and volunteers - many of whom will be staffing the pumps!”

The profits raised from this year’s festival will go to Smallshaw Hurst Community Action Group, Cancer Research UK and other Tameside Rotary supported charities.

Tameside Rotarians are hoping local residents will join them to say ‘cheers’ to the beers and to raise a glass to make this year’s event a huge success in its 10th celebratory year.

People can learn more about the festival by visiting www.TamesideRotaryClub.com where you will also find information about the club and how you can get involved to help support the local community.
