Strictly Come Dancing favourite Jowita Przystał is lacing up her trainers for a very different kind of challenge this weekend - the Great Manchester Run 10K, in support of the Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity.
Jowita, a professional dancer on the BBC hit show since 2021, will be swapping the ballroom for the streets of Manchester this Sunday as she joins a dedicated team of 30 runners raising vital funds to help dogs in need.
Speaking about her participation in the race and her support for the Dogs Trust, Jowita says: “I’m so excited to be running the 10K for Dogs Trust.
“The work Dogs Trust does to care for and rehome thousands of dogs every year is truly incredible, and I’m proud to support the team.”
The Dogs Trust has seen a surge in demand for its services, with more pet owners than ever needing help due to rising costs and changing circumstances.
The funds raised by the team running the Great Manchester Run will support the charity to rehome thousands of dogs every year.
Sophie Nathan from the Dogs Trust’s Fundraising Team said: “The Great Manchester Run is such a fantastic event, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone participating for Team Dogs Trust, including Jowita.
“Her support will help shine a light on our work and will make a real difference to the lives of so many dogs.
“We look forward to supporting the runners on the day, look out for our cheer point!”
