Jigsaw Homes has apologised to a Carrbrook tenant who says she has waited more than four months for repairs to be carried out at her home.
Pauline McCune discovered water leaking into her property through a hole in her bedroom ceiling on November 19 last year.
She described what she called a 'continuous struggle' to get the hole fixed since it first appeared.
She said: "I reported to Jigsaw Homes that there was a big hole in my bedroom ceiling.
"Then it was just after Christmas, when I was sick to death of collecting water that was leaking through the hole, that I contacted my local councillor and she advised me to send another complaint and said she would do the same.
"Within a few days, scaffolding was being put up and they were retiling the whole roof. While they were there I asked about the hole in the ceiling because that was the main issue and they told me that would be done too."
Pauline added: "I'm currently waiting for a knee replacement so mobility is difficult for me. I told them that while the hole in the ceiling wasn't repaired, just the roof, that I was cold in the bedroom and there was a draft coming through."
Paul Woodcock, Maintenance Director at Jigsaw Homes Group, said: "Our specialist contractor has fitted a new roof and removed and refitted the solar panels, but there had been a delay in fixing the ceiling.
"We apologise to Ms McCune for this. We will investigate why this happened and look at reviewing our processes to make sure it does not happen again.
"We appreciate this has been upsetting for Ms McCune and we have arranged an appointment with her so we can get this resolved as quickly as possible."
