Residents at an independent living scheme in Stalybridge are feeling 'frustrated' and 'isolated' after being left with no television signal, in the run-up to Christmas.
The issue, occurring at Blandford House in Cocker Hill, began at around 8:30am last Thursday, December 14, due to an issue with the aerial connectors.
The son of one affected resident opened up about the loneliness many living in the residence will be suffering this week.
"Many of them heavily rely on their TV service, as often it's their only company during these dark nights. It's their only human contact in a way so it's really isolating them," he said.
"They're cross and frustrated. They've tried to get in touch with the company in charge but they won't answer the phone, and anytime they do get through they're being told that it's not an emergency and that no one is available to discuss it."
Residents have been informed that the problem should be resolved at some point this week, however have not heard anything more as of yet.
