Stalybridge Post Office is relocating to new premises

The much-beloved Stalybridge Post Office is moving to new premises just around the corner from its current location.

Stalybridge Post Office is set to move from its current location on Trinity Street to The Hayloft on Dean Street. The new location is literally a one-minute walk away from the current location.

The new branch will be offering the same services and maintaining the same operating hours as the old branch. The new premises are described as more modern, with changes planned to improve accessibility.

The branch’s final day of trading from its current premises will be Saturday, August 15th. It will then close temporarily while the move is completed before reopening on Tuesday, August 25th.

While Stalybridge Post Office is closed, customers are advised to make use of the Banking Hub on Armentieres Square for essential banking services. The Hub offers cash withdrawals and deposits, business banking, utility bill payments, mobile phone top-ups, and more besides. As well as its usual opening hours, the Banking Hub will be open from 9am to 12:30pm on Saturday, August 22nd.

As well as the Banking Hub, customers can take advantage of local Post Office branches in Ashton-under-Lyne, Dukinfield, Carrbrook, and Millbrook.

The confirmed move for Stalybridge Post Office comes after a public consultation where customers were able to offer their views on the proposal.
