St Thomas More RC College have been celebrating another year of excellent GCSE results with their outstanding Year 11 pupils.
They said: "It has been a great pleasure to celebrate our GCSE success with pupils, parents, carers and our dedicated team of staff who have supported our pupils throughout their GCSE journey.
"Furthermore, we are delighted that 77% of our pupils achieved grades 9 to 4 in English and Mathematics, which is significantly higher than pupils achieve nationally and an improvement on the results from last year.
"In Mathematics, 81% of our pupils achieved grades 9-4, and in English 86% of pupils achieved grades 9-4.
"This is an excellent set of results reflecting the hard work, dedication and resilience of our Year 11 pupils.
"We have had a fantastic set of results across subject areas with some outstanding performances by individual pupils, which need to be celebrated.
"Henry J excelled in all his subjects and gained grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, German, History and Mathematics which is an impressive achievement.
"Harry B achieved 5 grade 9s; Maria R, Gabby O, Cory I, Owen C, Eve H and Francesca V all achieved 4 grade 9s and outstanding results in each of the subjects they studied.
"We are very proud of these pupils and all our Year 11s because of the commitment they have shown towards their studies throughout their time at St Thomas More RC College.
"At St Thomas More RC College, we have an excellent track record of success, ensuring all our pupils go on to flourish in post-16 provision.
"We look forward to hearing of the future success that our Year 11 leavers will have on the next steps of their journey.
"Finally, we would like to extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all of our outstanding pupils, staff, parents and carers for being part of our dedicated faith community and for the part they played in achieving this great set of results."
