Thirteen people in Denton are celebrating a great start to the week, after each winning £1,000 thanks to their lucky postcode.
The neighbours on Town Lane netted the windfall when M34 6AF was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Monday (7 September).
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners. She said: "What a lovely way to start your week! Congratulations to our winners, I hope they enjoy spending their winnings."
Recently, more than 2,200 residents in Droylsden shared a whopping £3 million in the Postcode Millions prize.
How ticket sales help charities
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities, and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
The draw was promoted on behalf of Clic Sargent, which has received more than £10.9 million in funding thanks to players. The charity provides vital emotional, practical, financial and clinical support to young cancer patients and their families during and after treatment.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
