Singers back on song in Dukinfield

Dukinfield's Yew Tree Singers are celebrating their 50th birthday with a free concert.

‘Songs We Have Loved’, the choir’s first public performance since lockdown, is taking place on Friday (8 October) in the Jubilee Hall at Dukinfield Town Hall.

The singers reconvened a few weeks ago and have been busy rehearsing a set list of popular songs which will appeal to their long-time supporters and newcomers.

The exact programme will not be revealed until the night but could include You Raise Me Up, Rhythm of Life, Hallelujah (from Shrek)… and Somewhere Out There (from An American Tail).

The concert starts at 7.30pm.

Admission is free but donations will be welcome.
