A serial thief has been fined and banned from entering Hyde town centre for two years after appearing in court.
Greater Manchester Police's Tameside South and West team issued an appeal last Sunday (26 June) for help to find 37-year-old Peter Stringer, who was wanted for a string of thefts.
Stringer was arrested the following day by the Hyde Neighbourhood Team.
At Tameside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (28 June), he was issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order and also received fines of £80, £105 compensation, £35 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.
