An elderly female cat was recently found 'tied up' in Mossley.
The discovery was made by a member of the public, who took her into Medivet Mossley's surgery where she is currently in the care of the vets.
A spokesperson for RSPCA's Tameside and Glossop branch said: "We were told when we phoned to get an update, that she really is not a well girl, she cannot weight bare, is listless and has a diminished appetite."
Medivet Mossley are hoping to locate her owners to make a decision regarding the best course of action for the 20-year-old feline, however they have sad that if they are unable to reach the owners they will 'act in her best interest'.
