Dukinfield and Stalybridge Rotary Club has kicked off its annual Christmas Toy Appeal, calling on the local community to help bring festive cheer to children in need across Tameside.
The appeal aims to collect new, unwrapped toys suitable for children aged four to eleven, ensuring that every child has a reason to smile this Christmas. Donations will go to families who may otherwise struggle to afford gifts during the holiday season.
Residents are asked to drop off their donations by Friday, November 7, 2025, giving volunteers time to sort and distribute the toys ahead of Christmas.
Organisers say every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.
“Your support is very much appreciated,” said members of the Rotary Club, who work tirelessly throughout the year to support good causes across Dukinfield, Stalybridge, and the wider community.
The Rotary team hopes the generosity of local residents will once again make this year’s appeal a success, continuing a tradition that has brought joy to countless children over the years.
Anyone wishing to get involved or find out more about how to donate can contact Brenda on 07834 220388 or Judi on 07478 946454.
