Tameside magistrates have jailed a 24-year-old man from Stalybridge for 12 weeks for assaulting a woman.
Dean Clayton, of Tipperary Street, had denied assaulting a woman in the town on March 9 this year.
However, he was found guilty and subsequently jailed.
In a separate case, he was also ordered to pay £150 compensation for damaging a window on August 10 in Stalybridge, and a further charge of assault on the same date.
Magistrates ordered him to pay £200 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
