Popular Stalybridge festival put on hold

To Beer or not to Beer? That was the question faced by Tameside Rotary for this coming September.

The festival has been a hugely popular two day event with beers, wines, ciders, entertainment and more all on offer at Stalybridge Civic Hall.

However, the pandemic has hit the event in the same way all events have had to be curtailed or postponed.

John Moon, Community Chair, said: “We faced and overcame a lot of hurdles, but sadly in the end, the Beer Festival group had to conclude that the Beer Festival this September 2021 would have to be postponed.”

President Angela Robbins said: “We are very much looking forward to Rotary events for the next coming Rotary Year which starts on July 1, and have many fun things planned to raise money for great charities and organisations which are in desperate need for money right now.

“This Beer Festival may be re-arranged but we certainly will do all we can to make the Beer Festival happen in September 2022. Please watch this space for plans and events and our sincere apology for the disappointment which, in the end, was out of our hands.”
