Police warn of anti-social behaviour in Mottram and Hattersley

Greater Manchester Police have warned local residents that they’re aware of a reported increase in anti-social behavior in Hattersley and Mottram.

In an update on GMP’s Bee in the Loop messaging service, the force’s Tameside South Team stated that “youths are causing criminal damage and theft mainly at Tesco's Mottram, McDonald's Mottram, and Kingston Close, Hattersley.”

In a plea to the parents of anyone who may be involved in this anti-social behaviour, GMP warned that:

“As a local community we will not tolerate this sort of behaviour, if your child/children are involved please make them aware that police will be within the area and positive action will be taken.”

Police further stated that it’s currently working “to identify the individuals involved,” and that “once identifications have been made,” individuals can “expect a visit from GMP and other partnership agencies.”
