Police in Ashton have been patrolling the bus station and shopping areas after a rise in anti-social behaviour.
They have been offering advice and giving out leaflets after a rise in burglaries and car theft.
On Saturday, a car was stolen from outside Ashton Market Hall with an 89-year-old woman sitting in the passenger seat.
A man has been arrested following a police chase.
