A 70-year-old man was attacked from behind near the junction of Market Street and Victoria Street earlier this month.
Police are investigating after a pensioner was assaulted in Denton earlier this month.
At around 7.20pm on Tuesday 2 April 2019 the victim, who is in his 70s, was approached from behind and attacked near the junction of Market Street and Victoria Street.
He suffered a fractured eye socket, bruising to the head and a cut to the eyebrow which required hospital treatment.

Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.
