Police have launched an investigation after a man suffered a gunshot wound in the Hyde area of Tameside.
Officers were called to an address on Marler Road just before 10pm on Wednesday night (27 October) to reports a man had been shot.
Emergency services attended and found a 38-year-old man with injuries to his leg.
He was taken to hospital, where he is currently in a stable condition.
GMP say detectives are investigating the circumstances around what happened, officers remain at the scene, and enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Inspector Kahar, from GMP's Tameside District, said: "This is understandably an extremely distressing incident for the community, and there will be additional police patrols in the area.
"Officers are working hard to establish exactly what has happened, and will continue to carry out enquiries in the community."
"If you or anyone you know has any DashCam footage of the area at the time, or CCTV footage, please get in touch, as the smallest amount of information could help our enquiries.
