A man in his 20s is in hospital with life-changing injuries after reports of thieves on Lumn Road in Hyde on Sunday night.
Police were sent to the scene at 11:30pm where they found the injured party, although it is still unclear if he lived at the address or was one of the alleged burglars.
“Our officers were called at 11.30pm last night (Sunday, 4 August 2024) to reports of thieves at an address on Lumn Road in Hyde, Tameside,” said a statement from GMP.
“We attended the address and found a man in his 20s with serious injuries, he was taken to hospital for treatment.
“His injuries are described as life-changing, not life-threatening. No arrests have been made and a scene is in place while we continue with our investigations.”
Lumn Road was cordoned off overnight and remains closed at the junctions of Ridling Lane and Walker Lane, outside the former Globe Inn.
