Person hospitalised after fight outside Dukinfield pub

One person was taken to hospital after a large fight broke out outside a pub in Dukinfield last night (Wednesday).

Police were called at around 5.20pm to The Albion on Jeffreys Drive, where it is understood a funeral gathering had been taking place inside. 

A large brawl then ensued outside the pub, following which one person was hospitalised. 

Their injuries are not thought to be serious. 

A large emergency service response was witnessed by passers-by. 

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called at 17.20pm to a disturbance on Jeffrey's Road in Dukinfield.

"One person was injured and has been taken to hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be serious. Enquiries are ongoing."
