
A man in his 60s has been taken to hospital via air ambulance following a collision in Droylsden.
Emergency services were called to Edge Lane shortly before 9.30am on Friday morning (6 August) to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson has said: "Officers were called to a report of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on Edge Lane, in Droylsden, at 9.24am on Friday (August 6).
"The road is currently closed and a man has been taken to hospital by air ambulance."
North West Ambulance Service confirmed that a man in his 60s who had suffered a head injury was taken to hospital in 'a serious condition'.
The road was closed in one direction at the junction with Ashton New Road for just over two hours, Transport for Greater Manchester reported.
TfGM also said that bus and tram services were unaffected.
