This year's Open Day at The Anthony Seddon Fund proved a resounding success, marked by heartfelt moments and vibrant community spirit. A touching conversation with a local resident coping with personal loss underscored the event’s emotional impact and media coverage from Tameside Radio helped amplify the day’s significance with interviews throughout and guidance provided to local people, on what they can access at the centre on George Street.
Volunteers played a vital role in every area, from room setup and tombola to refreshments and supporting key activities whilst generous donations came in both before and during the event, powering the cause forward.
The Mental Health Community Awards drew rounds of applause with excited prize winners, while the volunteer stand saw several people eager to get involved. Feedback from attendees was positive, affirming the day’s warmth and purpose. Creative and wellbeing sessions - from guitar taster groups to meditation sound baths, rounded off a truly memorable day.
