Off to the races in Denton for children's charity

This Saturday (September 11) a night of fundraising for Save the Children takes place in The Little Chap pub in Haughton Green.

Scott Greene from Denton plans to run the London and Manchester marathon for the charity in October but has organised the event to continue raising money.

Virtual horse racing and an auction will be held at The Little Chap from 7pm. By donating a pound, people can bet on a horse and then watch the race on the big screen.

The auction also has many exciting prizes, from carvery meals, escape rooms and a boot signed by Bryan Robson.

Scott added: “Save the Children is a really worthy cause so I’d love people’s support to reach my target. Everything I raise from the night goes toward the charity.”
