Back in 1982, Murder On Arrival - Mossley Operatic and Dramatic Society's latest production at George Lawton Hall - had the audience guessing 'Who Dunnit?' right to the end.
Unless that is they happened to have read the reviews in two rival papers which had removed the element of surprise by naming the villain!
The drama was set in a Cornish cottage with a macabre past.
Our theatre critic praised the entire cast - Denise Shawcross, Jenny Potts, Paul Mason, John Fletcher, Roger Wright and newcomers Susan Screen and Stephen Davys “who handled the story in a slick, professional manner.”
