
Thugs in an Audi knocked down a motorcyclist and attacked him in a terrifying robbery on a road in Hyde.
A man was riding his motorbike on Mottram Road, before coming to the Lumn Road junction, when he was approached from behind by a black Audi A3, which knocked him off the bike.
A group of men, armed with a hammer, got out of the vehicle and attacked him, before making off with the motorbike towards Hyde.
The victim sustained serious injuries, a fractured spine and extensive broken bones in his hands.
It happened at around 11.20am on Thursday 24 March.
Detective Sergeant Peter Goddard, from GMP's Tameside District, said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the male who was simply riding his motorbike on the road.
"Enquiries are on-going, but any information the public may have could help us with our investigation.
"Anyone who was walking or driving in the area around these times may have information or dash cam footage."
