Mossley children have been busy creating works of art.
Pupils from St George’s CE Primary School have created a range of artwork using different media around the theme ‘Local artists and the local area.’
Children created artwork in the style of Chris Cyprus, Phil Craven and other local artists.
The artwork ranged from pencil drawings to collage and photography.
Year 6 children participated in several workshops led by local artist ‘Mrs Mayall’.

She introduced the children to various skills and techniques which they then used to create depictions from the text ‘The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse’ using watercolour.
The artwork was displayed in school for families and local resident to view.
Teacher Emma Hanson said: “We had an overwhelming response and the artwork was for sale by donation which raised £150 towards sports equipment that the school council are currently raising funds for.”
