Mossley will celebrate Whit Friday with a free community event and lunch at Seel Park this Friday, May 29th, from noon, bringing together heritage, music and family activities.
The event is being organised as part of the National Lottery Heritage Funded project, with Mossley Heritage Centre set to showcase the town’s history and traditions.
Visitors can expect a Whit Friday heritage exhibition, costumed Mossley heritage characters, craft activities for children, goodie bags and the unveiling of a new Mossley Community Heritage Banner. The day is also set to feature the Mossley Band Contest, alongside support from Mossley Town Council.
The organisers say the event is free and is designed to protect and celebrate the town’s intangible heritage while offering a community-focused afternoon for residents and visitors alike.
