Mossley Farmers’ Market bows out in festive style

Mossley’s much-loved Farmers’ Market signed off in spectacular fashion on Sunday as the community gathered for its Christmas Special – the grand finale of 2025.

The event, which began in July with just ten stalls, has grown to an impressive thirty-five by its final outing. Shoppers enjoyed a bustling festive atmosphere, browsing everything from delicious pies and homemade candles to unique trinkets and seasonal treats.

A surprise visit from The Grinch added a playful twist to the day, while Santa Claus, accompanied by husky Koda, kept the Christmas cheer firmly intact. Santa was also joined by an elf, ensuring spirits stayed high despite the Grinch’s mischievous presence.

Live musical entertainment from Roger De Genero helped create a warm and lively ambience, rounding off what has been a hugely popular monthly event for families across the area.

The final market brought together traders, visitors, and volunteers for a celebration of local produce, creativity, and community spirit, marking a fitting conclusion to a market that has grown remarkably over the past few months and captured the hearts of Mossley residents.
