A man in his 60s was taken to hospital for treatment after being hit by a car close to Hyde town centre.
Emergency services were called to the A57 Manchester Road at around 8.45am on Tuesday morning (4 May) to reports of a collision.
It's understood that nobody was seriously injured.
A heavy police presence was witnessed in the area and the road was closed between the M67 slip entrance and Robert Street for around an hour, affecting traffic and local bus services.
Police say enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 8.45am this morning (Tuesday 4 May 2021) Police were called with a report of a road traffic collision on the A57 Manchester Road at Hyde.
"Officers attended and initial enquiries discovered that a man in his 60s had been hit by a car. No serious injuries have been reported and the road is now re-open.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
