A man has been charged with murder after another man was stabbed to death in Droylsden.
Dean Farrell, 21, of Redesmere Close in Droylsden, has been charged with murder.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Saturday (7 August).
Greater Manchester Police were called at 1.10am in the early hours of Friday morning (6 August) to Redesmere Close to a report of a stabbing.
Emergency services attended and enquiries established that a 47-year-old man had been stabbed inside a property.
He was taken to hospital in a critical condition where, despite the best efforts of medical staff, he was sadly pronounced dead a short while later.
The victim has not yet been named.
