Man charged after pulling gun out following fight on Ashton New Road

A man has been charged after a firearms incident on Ashton New Road.

Stewart Bowden (12/06/1980) of Canberra Street, Clayton has been charged with possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on 6August 2019.

It happened at 10.45pm on Saturday 27 July 2019 when police were called to a report of a fight at Clayton Conservative Club. During the fight a firearm was produced.

On Monday 29 July, armed police arrested a man on suspicion of firearm offences.
