A man has been arrested after reports of a sexual assault in Tameside on a Metrolink tram.
Greater Manchester Police said the force received the reports of a sexual assault on a Metrolink service in Ashton at around 5.40pm on Monday evening (25 April).
Following enquiries, a 46-year-old was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and remains in police custody for questioning.
GMP is continuing to investigate and appealing for the public's help.
Anyone with information, particularly those who were on board the tram in question, should contact the GMP Transport Unit on 0161 856 5324, quoting 2339 of 25/04/22.
