A man and a woman have been sentenced after a loaded pistol was found next to a rabbit hutch during a raid of a house in Ashton.
Daniel Goddard, 30, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition. He will serve seven years in prison.
Taylor Davies, 23, received a 24-month sentence, suspended for 24 months, at Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court on Friday (25 March).
Greater Manchester Police executed a warrant at an address on Bishop Close in Ashton at around 6am on 18 November 2021.
Officers discovered 'an amount' of cocaine - a Class A controlled substance - along with a loaded converted firearm and extra ammunition hidden next to the family's rabbit hutch.
