A 34-year-old man from Dukinfield has been charged with the murder of 45-year-old Garrick Bates in Stalybridge.
Daryl Master, of Old Road, will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today (Monday).
The body of Mr Bates was found on Sand Street (pictured) in Stalybridge on Friday (17 January).
A statement from Greater Manchester Police read: "On Friday 17 January 2020, police were called to Sand Street, Stalybridge to reports of concern for the welfare of a man.
"Sadly, the body of Garrick Bates was found.
"Two men aged 45 and 34 were arrested on suspicion of murder. They have been released on bail whilst the investigation continues."
